We are a family/veteran-owned small farm offering primitive creek-side and open field camping that's perfect for motorcyclists, car campers, and tourists traveling on an adventure. We are located along the historic Crooked Road Music Trail and right off the Blue Ridge Parkway at mile marker 159.3. The picturesque town of Floyd is only 4 miles away, with easy access to music, shopping, multiple grocery stores, local and international themed restaurants - all with a true feeling of Appalachian hospitality. There are 6 creek-side campsites and open-field campsites in the peaceful field, all with access to trails. We have been developing our dream property and wanted to welcome visitors with affordable tent camping in an incredibly beautiful area of the country. Also, on the property we have a store with essential camping needs, local products, artisan items, coffee, and souvenirs. During the summer we offer a "YouPick" flower experience in our crop field (come get a container and pick your own bouquet of flowers) and special/tourism events. Peak season for flowers is from July to September. We would love for you to camp and give us feedback as we are constantly improving things. Our newest amenity is a 1 mile hiking trail that starts at the campground and takes you through the woods to the top of our property. Come ride, camp, and explore the area!

Perkins Camping

Really enjoyed the small hiking path just enough for my husband and I too enjoy. The walking sticks you can borrow were a plus! I was excited to get site #5 because of the hammock. (Smalĺest details win it for me) but once I got there I did realize I believe all of these sites had them. Our camping site was very exposed to our neighbors at site #4, so I do wish it was a little more secluded or spread out. Porta potty was nice and clean. Very welcoming when we got there.

Hosts are friendly and helpful. The grounds and facilities while rustic are ample, clean, neat, and well stocked. A very pastoral setting with a babbling brook right next to the site. I would visit again.

Lovely, serene campsite! Brian and Christy were super welcoming and helpful and their property is very well-maintained. Showers are spacious and water is hot, and the port-a-potty in the campground is very clean.

Let me just say this: CREEK ON CAMPSITE. The grounds are well kept and so are the facilities. The site is very cozy but the tent area is a bit small if you want creek side seats, so dont expect a tent hotel space. The grill was clean and there was no trash on our site. They even brought us the canapoy tent we rented to our site and tore it down once we left for us! This cozy hidden gem will soon have some new additions to the camp so keep an eye out! Hidden Gem

My site was wonderful. I slept to the sound of a babbling creek right outside my tent. There are hammocks at most sites and picnic tables. Clean Port a John’s and hot showers are available. A small loop trail is on the property also. As I was leaving the hosts were in the process of constructing a small stage for entertainment. There is a very large open field available for group camping. The host have a small store stocked with some necessities and small gifts on site. These are some accommodating, kind and gracious hosts and I will be returning.
